John Hall was executed in the Nevada State Prison on November 28, 1932. He was 53 years old and a native of North Carolina. His real name was Everette Mull.

Hall was convicted of murdering John C. O'Brien on June 15, 1931. Hall and O'Brien were in the bootlegging business in Clark County in southern Nevada.

The Hall and O'Brien families were driving in a car belonging to the O'Brien's. Hall believed O'Brien had been stealing from him, and without warning shot O'Brien five times in the back killing him, he also severely beat Mrs. O'Brien with his revolver.

The Halls tried to get away, but were picked up in southern California. Hall was condemned to death for his crime.
