Amber N. Carlson, 19.

Juile and Steve Carlson's daughter Amber was slain by a fellow student at the University of Wyoming
in July. The Carlsons accuse the school of failing to respond to her killer's warning signs.

Adam Towler, 20.

Brian Towler, a University of Wyoming professor, stands on the bridge along the Green Belt
at Optimist Park, one of the various locations around town where he runs. Towler is training
for next month’s New York City Marathon. He said he’s running the event in honor of his late
son, Adam, who was murdered six years ago in Laramie.
