The victims

Tracy and Joanne Rinebarger, shown in a wedding photo, were John Caudle's stepfather and mother.
Caudle told investigators his mother called him names and withheld food to punish him. His maternal
grandmother told the interviewers her daughter isolated Caudle from other kids. An undersheriff
called to the family home in 2006 said Caudle told him then that he "was treated like a slave."
