December 18, 2002 - Yigal Amir (C), the convicted assassin of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, is escorted into Magistrate's Court to testify for former Israeli Shin Bet agent Avishai Raviv December 18, 2002 in Jerusalem, Israel. Amir, who shot Rabin during a peace rally in 1995, is testifying for Raviv, who is charged with failure to prevent the assassination. Yigal Amir secretly married Larissa Trimbobler by proxy despite being in solitary confinement and exploiting a legal loophole. Amir's request to be married and be allowed to consummate the union was rejected in May by the Israeli Supreme Court. Yagil Amir is currently seving a life sentence for the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
